We are extremely selective with our suppliers and require that they avoid mineral nitrogen fertilizers and synthetic chemical pesticides and perform annual audits by the national partners of the internationally active certification bodies Ecocert and IMO. The impeccable quality of our products is our top priority. To ensure that it is maintained throughout the entire supply chain, we have our teas checked at all important points of production in accordance with the so-called HACCP guideline for food hygiene (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).
Ingredients Standards and Quality Testing
We test all of our ingredients to validate that each one meets our high standards for color, aroma, and taste. These tests include (among others) microbiology testing, identity confirmation, sensory evaluations, and chromatography techniques. This quality-assurance testing ensures the use of quality ingredients in all YOGI TEA® and CHOICE® teas, cup after cup after cup.
Tea Packaging
Our tea bag filtration paper is made from a blend of high quality manila hemp (abaca) fibers and wood pulp, which is free from plastics and oxygen bleached a natural process that s free of chemicals or toxins. Along with all other components of our packaging, this paper is free of gluten, GMOs, and corn.
